The primary goal of the Santa Rosa based True Grit Running is to promote and stage a quality, flat, fast, accurate, and festive half and full marathon to be enjoyed by our community, spectators, and all the participants, including walkers, recreational, beginner and competitive runners as they start and finish in picturesque Juilliard Park after looping the entire length of the scenic Santa Rosa Creek Greenway.
Orhan Sarabi has been in the health club business for 15-years and has managed several clubs, numerous events, expos and related parties. Orhan has completed three 24 Hour Relay for Charity run/walk benefits, covering 76-miles in each event. The 76-miles represented one mile for every year his father had lived. He also completed his first Ironman in 2007, covering a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run.
Julia Stamps Mallon has been running as long as she can remember and is a Santa Rosa native. After a successful High School and College Running Career where she holds numerous state and national records Julia graduated from Stanford and spent the last 10 years in the financial service industry. After living in numerous areas around the nation her and her family have relocated back to Santa Rosa where she is enjoying the time raising her two daughters. Julia is still competitive in running and just ran in the Olympic Trials for the marathon. She is looking forward to growing and expanding our race efforts for The Santa Rosa Marathon.
