About Us
Primary Goal:
The primary goal of the Santa Rosa based True Grit Running is to promote and stage a quality, flat, fast, accurate, and festive half and full marathon to be enjoyed by our community, spectators, and all the participants, including walkers, recreational, beginner and competitive runners as they start and finish in picturesque Juilliard Park after looping the entire length of the scenic Santa Rosa Creek Greenway.
Bios
Arthur Webb - Race Director:Over the last 30 year's Arthur Webb has ran the marathon distance hundreds of times, completed dozens of 50-100 mile races and has logged over 120,000 miles. He has completed the toughest footrace in the world, the 135-mile Badwater Ultramarathon, twelve times and holds numerous age group records. CommitAndFinish.com. He has also race directed “The Last Ten K” and “Labor Day 10-mile” races in Santa Rosa.
Orhan Sarabi - Event Coordinator:Orhan Sarabi has been in the health club business for 15-years and has managed several clubs, numerous events, expos and related parties. During the last ten years he has been working in marketing. Orhan has completed two 24 Hour Relay for Charity run/walk benefits, covering 76-miles in each event. The 76-miles represented one mile for every year his father had lived. He also completed his first Ironman in 2007, covering a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run.
