Start and Finish:

We will have a short ceremony at the red sculpture in Juilliard Park a few feet from the finishing chute. After the ceremony we will walk a few feet to the starting line to a coned off lane on South A Street. Since chip timing is used the runner's will not have to jam the one lane starting area. All runners must run across the timing mat to register their starting times. We will have the fastest runners up front using the traditional 6, 7, 8 ….minute mile pace signs. Remember your finishing place and time is based on when you crossed the start/finish line and not how many runners are ahead of you.

Stay inside the cones.
All runners will run inside all the cones at the start along 1500 feet of South A St and First St then right turn along the sidewalk on Santa Rosa Ave for about 300 feet and then make a right turn onto the Santa Rosa Greenway and off we go. There is a tight very short 10 ft dogleg within 200 feet and then the trail opens up for fast running miles.

Aid Stations:

The first aid station and Porta Potty is at mile 1.1

The second aid station and Porta Potty's is at mile 2.4

The third aid station and Porta Potty's is immediately past the Fulton Road underpass at mile 3.9

After crossing the Fulton Bridge at mile 4 there is a 2.1 mile hardpack and very scenic trail (Pelican Pond mile 5) to the next aid station at Willowside Road and Porta Potty's at mile 6.1

After crossing the Willowside Bridge the trail is paved for 1.7 miles and then .4 miles of hardpack to the next aid station at mile 8.2. The runner's will cross two beautiful trestle bridges and pass by another in this very scenic section.

The next aid station is Fulton Road at mile 9 after .4 hardpack and .4 paved trail.

The next aid station is at mile 10.8 on hardpacked roadbed and after crossing Fulton and Stony Point Bridges.

The next aid station is at mile 12 and is on paved trail.

The next aid station is at mile 13.1 (in the park) for the second loop marathoner's.

The course will be marked with numerous directional arrows.

Marathoner's will turn just before the finish chute and do it all over again. The second loop will be exactly as the first except on South A St there will be a narrower coned pathway and we will funnel you (using cones) onto the sidewalk to run down First Street and into the Greenway. With fewer runners in this loop and later in the day with more traffic around we will use the safety of the sidewalk

Parking Areas:

On race day Sunday there is free parking on most Santa Rosa downtown streets and we are fortunate to have use of the huge Santa Rosa Parking Facility (compliments of the Santa Rosa Plaza Management) about 500 feet from the starting line. Corner of South A and First Street. Shown on map with three P markers.
